      As of October 2017, Beijing Language and Culture University covers an area of more than 330,000 square meters, with a construction area of nearly 430,000 square meters。The university consists of 3 academic departments, 8 direct colleges (teaching departments) and 3 research institutes。There are 12 research centers (or bases) above the provincial and ministerial level, and 33 university-level research institutions。It has established cooperation and exchange relations with 321 universities and educational institutions in 58 countries and regions, and hosted 18 Confucius Institutes and 1 Confucius Classroom。It has 1,272 faculty members, more than 40,000 Chinese students and nearly 9,000 foreign students。
